The Northern Kingdom Was Destroyed (2 Kings 17)
Hey volunteers! This week we will be diving into the fall of Israel and how years of unrepentant sin ultimately led to the kingdom’s destruction. Despite God’s patience, warnings, and faithfulness, the people continually turned to idols and rejected Him, resulting in judgment and exile. Through this story, kids will see the seriousness of sin, but also the incredible hope we have in Jesus. Remind them that while sin separates us from God, He has made a way for forgiveness and restoration through Christ, giving us new life and the power to follow Him.
