Generosity of Resources

Hey Volunteer Team! This week we will be taking a pause from our gospel project curriculum to introduce the idea of generosity. At Vox we have defined generosity as giving of time, talents, or resources to benefit others. Each week we will take a deep dive into what the bible says about being generous and offering practical tips, tools, and ideas of how we can integrate generosity into our everyday lives. Jesus calls us to be generous in spirit. Over the last 2 weeks, our kids learned how to be generous with their time and talents. This week, we will focus on how to be generous with our resources- which can be anything we have including our toys, clothes, food and money. As we introduce the term "tithe" this week, please remind kids that we can be generous in many different ways and that Jesus doesn't love anyone more when they give more money. Children are not obligated to give money in any way, but if they are interested in tithing to the church, they can begin doing so on December 1st.
