New England is America’s greatest mission field. And God brought you here for a reason.

We are living in a moment in history when society is coming apart at the seams. People are divided. Depression and anxiety have reached historic highs. As never before, this is the church’s finest hour. The gospel of Jesus Christ has the power to mend broken hearts, strengthen weak souls, and ignite hope for the hopeless. The local church is God’s “Plan A” to spread the love of Christ. He has “entrusted to us the message of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19).

But a church focused on “self” will not change the world. More than ever, we need MORE JESUS. We need to learn to see our lives as he does and then take practical steps of sacrifice and faith to advance his work in the world. This is the purpose of the More Jesus campaign.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus. (Hebrews 12:1-2a)

Stepping into the next Season

More Jesus is a two-year generosity campaign to lead our whole church to a place of deeper trust in God. Beginning with Commitment Sunday on December 8, 2024, every dollar given at Vox will help fund three major priorities:

For the next two years, the first major priority is to raise up leaders. Everything rises and falls on leadership, and godly leaders fuel greater impact. In 2024, Vox launched the Discipleship Pathway, where every person has the opportunity to grow as a follower of Christ. Our goal is to effectively scale this Discipleship Pathway over the next two years, expanding the Vox Institute, launching a residency program, and creating development roles within our staff. We also plan to grow our Vox Youth programming and strengthen VoxKids to prepare young leaders to lead the future generation. Right now, the largest age demographic at Vox is 18-29 years old. Across America, this is the least-likely demographic to attend church! God has opened up a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shape the leaders of the future.

Fewer people attend church in New England than any other place in America, and very few people will drive more than 20 minutes to visit a church. This means that if we want to reach New England, we cannot embrace a “come and see” mindset. We must embrace a “go and tell” mindset. Through our Campus-to-Campus Strategy, Vox plans to launch new churches across New England. With every new church that starts, an entirely new population can be reached. Last year, Vox opened new churches in Clinton, Connecticut, and New Britain, Connecticut, reaching hundreds of new people with the gospel. “Every neighbor” means that we engage the community around us in meaningful ways, serving the poor and helping those in need. As we expand and sharpen our efforts through Vox Outreach over the next two years, we plan to help our neighbors across the street and around the world.

In the years ahead, we hope to make a difference for Christ in every city across New England. We want to be ready when opportunity knocks, and each community is full of untapped potential. As Vox expands our efforts and raises up new leaders, we need to be prepared when God opens a door.
