Achan’s Sin and the Defeat of Ai (Joshua 7-8)
Hey parents! This week we discussed Joshua 7, where we see the story of Achan’s sin and the Israelites’ defeat at Ai. After their great victory at Jericho, Israel disobeyed God by keeping what was set apart for Him, and their sin led to serious consequences. This passage shows us God’s holiness and justice, as well as our need for a Savior who takes the punishment we deserve. Encourage kids to see that true victory and forgiveness come only through faith in Jesus, who frees us from sin and restores our relationship with God.
