TITLE: THIS IS WHO WE ARE
1. On 9/18/2011 Vox Church formerly City Church was birthed, we are now celebrating 12 Years of ministry here in the least church region of the United States. Take a moment and share what brought you to Vox.
2. Justin spoke about the Transfiguration in Luke 9:28-33 where Jesus went up on the mountain with his three closest disciples. He called them up to a new atmosphere to a different way of thinking or seeing, but the disciples fell asleep.
Spiritual Immaturity is linked to drowsiness: Read: 1 Thessalonians 5:6 & Romans 13:11. Discuss an area where you have fallen asleep to the things of God.
3. We have a natural inclination towards religion, Salvation through Morality or Do This = Get This mentality, and when we don't get it right we tend to hide from God's holiness out of fear.
Where do you see these play out in your life?
4. At Vox Church, three core behavioral values shape the way we make decisions and practice our faith. These values inform and direct our church. We practice them when it's popular and when it's out of fashion. We filter everything through these core values.

Discuss together what it means to:
· Make Jesus the center of your life. How do you orbit your life around HIM?
· Be intentional about biblical community. What does it mean to be a part of the body of Christ?
· Be other-focused and serve the world around us. How can we make mission a part of our lives?
5. When we see Jesus HE changes everything. The Gospel changes everything, but in our humanity, we are prone to forget. Is there an area in your life that needs reminding?
Take time to pray for one another. Ask God to open up your eyes to see JESUS more clearly. Remind one another about what HE has done, so that we can be who HE has created us to be.
6. Challenge: Begin to preach the gospel to yourself every day. Remind yourself what God has done. Below are a few practical ways to do this.
Take time to ponder and let your minds and hearts be overwhelmed with Jesus’ sacrificial love, grace, and mercy.
