Text:
2 Corinthians 3:16-18
1. What is a sport or a hobby that you were obsessed with as a kid? What evidence would prove that it’s true?
"An idol is anything more important to you than God, anything that absorbs your heart and imagination more than God, and anything you seek to give you what only God can give." Tim Keller
2. Whatever we treasure more than Christ becomes an idol. What are the things in your life that you are prone to worship?
3. Read 2 Corinthians 3:16. Our idolatry creates a barrier (a veil) so we can’t see God the way we were truly meant to see Him. Talk about how much that has been true in your own life at times. What's the best way to remove idols in your life?
4. Talk about your worship experience during a church service at Vox compared to your own personal worship time at home, in the car, etc. Are there any differences? If so, why? If not, why not?
Take some time and read
Revelation 4 together and catch of glimpse of eternity. Spend some time either worshipping God together through song or through prayer together.
