Text:
Mark 11:7-10
1. Which environment you were raised in; was it more "welcome in" or "get out of my way" or something in between? Which tendency do you lean more towards today? Why?
2. Tell your community group about the entry of Jesus into your heart. Was it comparable to the way Jesus entered Jerusalem? How?
3. Jesus came as a humble, meek king. In what areas of your life is God calling you to embrace a deeper humility?
4. The people in Jerusalem used what they had to welcome Jesus (palm branches, cloaks). What resource could you use to help welcome Jesus into people's lives?
5. God uses unexpected seasons of life to help us "lose our life" in order to welcome in, find, and grow in Jesus. Have you been through an unexpected season and what did God teach you through it? Are you experiencing an unexpected season now and what are you considering God is trying to teach you through it?
Truly welcoming Jesus into your heart is fully trusting Him. Is the Holy Spirit revealing to you an area you aren't trusting Him like you should? Break up into two groups and share those areas and pray for one another to fully surrender and trust.
