Text: 2 Chronicles 34
1. What responsibilities were you given as an 8 year old? Which was your least favorite? Why? Of the responsibilities you mentioned, which are you still doing today?
2. In 2 Chronicles 34:3, it says Josiah was 16 years old when he began to seek the Lord. Looking back on your life, what age did you first begin to truly seek the Lord? What were the circumstances that led to your desire to seek Him? What did seeking Him look like at that age?
3. Read 2 Chronicles 34:19 and Hebrews 4:12 together. Talk about a memorable reaction, a supernatural understanding, a life-altering conviction, or a renewed commitment you have experienced when you read the Bible, either recently or in the past.
4. A Biblical conviction always requires commitment (action). What has God been speaking to you lately, from His Word, that requires a commitment, an action step, or what is a commitment you made years ago that needs renewed? What obstacles stand in the way to either commitment?
Talk together as a group; what step or steps could each person take to move in the direction of active obedience toward the commitments mentioned in question #4 ? Then, take some time to pray together, as a group, for spiritual breakthrough for each individuals response to question #4.
